All-COAC Volleyball announced

An exact calendar-week before the All-Edmond Volleyball team will be announced by The Edmond Sun, the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference (COAC) debuted its All-Conference Volleyball team and, as expected, the list is dominated by Edmond girls. Memorial’s Sophia Ayubi, North’s Kamryn Bacus, Santa Fe’s Rylen Moore and Deer Creek’s Teagan Polcovich all earned first team All-COAC on Friday after they were selected for their standout seasons for their respective teams. No conference school has multiple members on the first team roster. Santa Fe’s Kaeli Robinson was named Offensive Player of the Year at the same time, after the junior led her Lady Wolves team to a state title. North’s Izzy Harwell will split Defensive Player of the Year honors for the COAC conference with Westmoore’s Alyssa Bert. Lauren Kersey, from Norman North, was named Player of the Year. The second team All-COAC roster has teammates joining, though, more namely athletes from Deer Creek and Santa Fe. The Antler’s Lauren Anthony and Maicee Morgan join Santa Fe’s Anastassiya Barakhoyeva and Rorianna Chartier on that second-team roster. Memorial’s Allie High also joins them on the list. Will Ethridge, head coach of Santa Fe, will split Coach of the Year honors with Norman North’s Stephanie Kane. North’s Gracie Burleson and Jadah Platt, Deer Creek’s Haley Houk and Grayson Schimmels, Memorial’s Abby Kirby and Reagan Pendleton, and Santa Fe’s Lauren McCarty, Ryli Mills-Thomas and Anna Peacock were all named as Honorable Mentions for the All-COAC teams.
